By the end of 2019’s summer, I was approached for the creation of 13 pen and ink drawings (kings, queens, jacks and joker) for a deck of poker cards featuring pirate captains for kings, mermaids for queens and sailors for jacks, with a more interesting approach for the joker. The inspiration comes from 19th century ink illustration, giving the drawings a vintage feel.
